Welcome Picasso, I am currently in the Navy CB school in cali but will back on the east coast by Sept and looking to sail south shortly thereafter. I'm a reservist and was thinking of doing my drills in P.R. till spring. I have to work it out with my unit but it could be a go! I don't have much time to chat because this school is designed for bootcamp kids, they're killing me here but I'll try my best to stay in touch to see if we can work something out.
Basic info; I'm 49, my crewmate is a 3yr old german shepherd and the boat is an 73' Formosa with ample gear. I'm not the most experienced sailor but have been offshore. We are looking for enthusiastic crew for a Trans Atlantic trip from Bermuda to the Azores and then possibly on to Palma de Mallorca in the Mediterranean. Expect to leave 29 June. Possibility to do Bermuda - Azores or Azores - Palma only.
Very experienced, enthusiastic and relaxed skipper (17 transatlantics and a cruising instructor so plenty of time to learn the ropes there), comfortable and fast boat (Swan 51).
