Put on a biohazard suit and wear a bright orange bandana on your head to protect your hair from bottom paint. Strap on clear, plastic eye protection goggles.

Grab a sander and sand the black ablative paint off the bottom of a boat. The kind of boat matters not. It's important to have the black dust stick to your cheeks, nose and ears for the full effect.

I kid you not. Nearly every guy in the boatyard today either approached to talk to me (one asked George his relationship to "this beautiful woman" ) or gave me a huge smile and thumbs up.

Try it!! Results guaranteed.

Oh Kerri, there is nothing better than a woman that pulls her own weight for a partner. Yes, as a kid it was pretty, sexy, fun. After the need to breed is done, it's, does she take care of the kids, help with anything that needs doing, cook maybe? Being a true partner in all endevours is the best any man can hope for. Most of us would happily settle for half.

Anybody here a member of SOS? Curious about the crowd.

Attended one of their weekend seminars. Very nice people. However, I was a bit put off by some of the rules around crewing on other's boats. I can't remember what they were (this was back in '05) but they revolved around jealous ex-spouses and avoiding potential drama.

Overall, nice group of people, but at 37, I was a good 25 years younger than the median age for the group here in Annapolis - at least at that time. But I wasn't looking for potential partners, either. I was looking to go sailing on different boats. I didn't get the meat-market vibe at this gathering, either, which was refreshing.

Oh - and my initial post wasn't to toot my own horn or anything. At $15/day, the goal is to get the boat out of the water and back in ASAP. I'm not strong enough to work the buffer to polish the hull, so while George dealt with prop issues, through hulls, transducers, etc., I was limited to grunt work. But the positive response totally blew me away!

Thanks, I'm old so I may give it a look n' see. Singlehanding may be challenging on a boat this size but somehow at this point it's kind of empty even if everything is beautiful. Have to look forward. Look out all you widows, I'm on the hunt for a sailing partner! Who'd of thought a hazmat suit was more attractive than a lace bra!
Not that the lace bra doesn't add to the mix!

Ummmm.....Kerri? Can we work on the boat next week?

(or anyone else's boat that you know?) Maybe we could volunteer a day at the boatyard. Ya know, help out some folks that could really use it. I'd feel real good about being a volunteer.

Points to ponder:
What do you call somebody that shows up and takes (under threat of violence) a cut of your profits every month in exchange for protection?
Should you trust him to hold your retirement savings, watch your kids, and to be a key decision authority in every aspect of your life?
Does it matter what party he belongs to?

Remember remember, this coming November,
The Ballot, their treason and plot.
I know of no reason why socialist treason,
Should ever be forgot.

Ladies, Kerri is absolutely on target, that image she presented is a huge turn-on ~ to most men. There are those that like the long red nail, dangling ear ring, plastic boob woman. Their choice in that type are mostly to garner approval ratings among their bros in their conquest abilities.

I am very attracted to a woman that wears a properly "shaped" ball cap. It's not the appearance so much as it's a statement of who and what she is. Wearing camo shorts is an equal turn on. When I ask a woman on a first date, I make it a casual event for a reason, and that is to see what she wears. A first date is a planned event for a woman, and what she wears is carefully considered. It is also a pre-view of what you will see IF the first date is a success, that is what she will look like a year later.

That is not to say, a woman dressed for dinner is not a good thing. She must also be a owner of a LBD. LOL.

Now, sanding boat bottoms is not the only arena for presentation. My recently divorced (3 times, 44 yo) next door neighbor has lawn maintenance down to a fine art. She has long, coal black hair she wears with a bright red, or white ball cap, properly shaped. Usually a loose fitting spaghetti strap top, no bra. and nice fitting shorts. Usually there is a wisp of hair escaping the cap and floating around her high cheek bones. Add a little perspiration and WOW. She obviously is in to yoga, because she is extremely flexible when pulling weeds.

So, yard work, tennis courts, gym, boat yards, boat decks, sail boat shows, all are good presentation areas if you are looking for an outdoors man.

Now ladies, describe for us males, what appearance attracts you? Day old beards? tank tops, pipe smoking, sweater wearing yacht club, long hair, no hair, butt cracks, speedo, ball caps, pleated pants, good cologne, old spice?

Understanding the difference between metric and "standard" (which isn't) sockets - extra credit for Whitworth. Good grip on socket drive sizes. Various driver types.

I was wondering if I’d see that again. :P

Hmmm. That’s a tough one because, for me anyway, that could change depending on the guy. I can tell you what is a total turn off for me:
Smoking, of any kind
Drugs
Butt crack or hanging the pants half way down your thighs
Speedo’s

What I’m not fond of but could go with:
Beards and/or mustaches (what can I say – I love a smooth face).

A couple things I really like:
Old Spice
Obsession
A guy wearing long-board shorts (what can I say, I got a thing for those long shorts).

I’ll have to think a bit more on this. Maybe we need a new thread for Likes/Dislikes :D

Wow!! that's Hot (in the voice of Paris). and I thought I was rocking it when the picture below (changing my impellor in my polka dotta jammies and with full on bed head.) If I were in the market right now i'd be on my way to home depo to get such an attractive outfit.

Seriously, what is it with you guys? I think that there is a lot of truth to what she says.
