Good News - Bad News!

First the bad news. With the thought of increasing overall value for our Lats & Atts Cruising Club members and Premium web site users, we have reluctantly decided to discontinue posting online issues of Latitudes & Attitudes for free starting with the July issue (of course, the economy still isn’t helping matters...).

Now the Good News! LACC members and Premium site users will have full access to the FREE online version. Also, anyone will be able to access/download individual online issues for just $1.99 each. So if you aren’t yet a print subscriber ($34.99/yr), LACC member ($35/yr), or Seafaring Premium web site user ($20/yr), you still have time to get on board so you don’t miss anything!

Editorial

We left the Vava'au Group of islands in Tonga and were sailing north. We'd left a day earlier and were on our way to the northernmost Tongan island of Niuatoputapu.

We'd left our home port about four months earlier and by now we'd settled into the cruising lifestyle. All was well with the world, and I was looking back at all the fears I'd had about what might happen "out there" and thinking how silly I had been. What could go wrong on a beautiful day sailing the Pacific?
